My Philosophy fro Good Photography

To some people a camera is just something to take a picture with and then you'll always remember what happened in that picture and you can just show people. To me, a camera is a like a blank canvas for me as the photographer to illustrate and display my life. My passion for capturing moments in time has been around for as long as I can remember. This comes as no surprise though, because after all my dad has the same passion just as his father and his father's father.

Determining what makes a good picture is truly in the eyes of the photographer. For me personally, if i see something that makes a good picture and I have a camera in my hands then I naturally just start taking pictures. Everything has to be in the perfect position or else I will go insane. Two things that are definitely good qualities in all photographs are getting the most effective angle to capture the atmosphere and essence of the subject being photographed. Timing is everything when taking pictures of moving subjects. If there is even the slightest blur then I will retake the picture as much as i can to make everything in focus.

I personally know that unless i go blind, I will never stop taking pictures. When I get in the mood to take pictures I never want to stop even if the lighting or the positioning of the subject changes I will continue to take pictures to compare to the ones that were previously taken. At first I might not be so fond of a photo but then after a while it grows on me and i begin to make it one of my favorites and visa versa.

I could possibly become a better photographer if I went out and spent time with my dad and just started taking pictures and asking his opinions and asking for help. When it comes to photography my dad's opinion is a great influence on how my pictures change and what my subjects are.
